Climate Change Agreements

How to use this Section

Please note that the Climate Change Section of the website is currently being revamped to make it easier to use. Much of the information you require is already amongst these pages, and using the sitemap may help you to better find specific information.

A good place to start is the Complete set of CCA paperwork page.

The Climate Change Agreements, (often referred to on this website as CCA), can potentially save your company or site a great deal of money, by reducing your tax levy on energy bills by up to 80% between joining the scheme and 2013.

However applying to join, and participating in the CCA can sometimes be a complicated business.

This CCA section of the SEA website is designed to make applying to and participating in the CCA's through the SEA as clear and straightforward as possible. It should be possible to follow this website through from this page to the end, finding out all you need to know. At the bottom of each page is a recommended 'next step' link, and following these should ensure you don't miss any steps in application or participation process.

Additionally these pages are designed to allow you to dip in and out, in order to find the information you need as quickly and easily as possible. To aid you in this, a useful tool is the sitemap, which breaks down on the pages on this site in an easy to view single page.

If you are struggling with an aspect of the CCA, then you may wish to view the SEA help for CCA participants or the external help for CCA participants pages. Alternatively contact the SEA on 0121 237 1123.

CCA participants or potential applicants can take advantage of the SEA Energy Management Services. The services on offer include those that deal directly with the CCA, ranging from help in completing CCA application paperwork through to help in compiling evidence packs and preparing for audits. Additionally the SEA Energy Management Services offer a number of services which will aid in meeting CCA milestone targets. This includes FREE Carbon Trust funded energy surveys, monitoring and targeting services and energy efficiency implementation plans.

If you are a SEA member make sure that you visit the SEA Energy Management Services section of our website.
