The Surface Engineering Association (SEA) administers 2 climate change agreements on behalf of the Environment Agency and the Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC). To be eligible to enter into the agreements, companies must meet the eligibility criteria as follows:

Surface Engineering Agreement

A facility belongs to the surface engineering sector if it is a facility which surface treats substances, objects or products using organic solvents, in particular for dressing, printing, coating, degreasing, waterproofing, sizing, painting, cleaning or impregnating or which surface treats metals and plastic materials using an electrolytic or chemical process.

Heat Treatment Agreement

Companies operating eligible processes can apply to join the agreements by completing a Facility Eligibility Form (FEF) and providing information on their energy use and production levels.
