Record Turnout for Understanding Heat Treatment 2014

 UNDERSTANDING HEAT TREATMENT TRAINING COURSE (14 – 16th Oct 2014)

Derek Close, Wolfson Heat Treatment Centre’s manager, pictured below, has announced an all-time record attendance of 36 delegates for the Understanding Heat Treatment training course, which was held at the Jewellery Quarter Conference Centre in Federation House on 14-16th October.  The course had a Middle Eastern flavour boasting two delegates from Saudi Arabia and one from the Sultanate of Oman, there were also two delegates from the Republic of Ireland.  The delegates are shown below along with details of their various affiliations.  This was the 10th course since Wolfson’s affiliation with the Surface Engineering Association and the 79th since the first one at Aston University way back in November 1977.  Over the years the course which these days is repeated annually, has been attended by a grand total of 1,894 delegates!

The course, the aim of which is to convey a general appreciation of the metallurgical/technological background to industrial heat treatment processing and utilises the expertise of eight lecturers who are all either working in or associated with the heat treatment industry to ensure that it is constantly updated, is next planned for October 13 – 15, 2015.  Follow the link below for more information.
