REACH has been widely recognised as one of the most burdensome pieces of legislation for SMEs and if you add to that the uncertainty of BREXIT, then you have the potential to cause massive disruption to all UK and EU Manufacturing supply chains. That might sound far fetched but if you remember that virtually every manufactured product needs some form of surface engineering to enable it to function correctly and if surface engineering companies are not able to apply their coatings because of issues with the supply of chemicals, then you can quite easily appreciate our concerns.
The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) have recognised our concerns and, through the Business Readiness Fund (BRF), they have supported the production of this BREXIT, REACH & Surface Engineering (BREASE) guidance document.

It is looking increasingly likely that we will be leaving the EU without a deal and we therefore recommend that companies in our sector take action now to limit any potential disruption to supply chains.

The BREASE guidance document is available to both members and non-members and is free to download, just fill in the details below.
