In these extraordinary times we wanted to remind you that the Surface Engineering Association is here to help serve you and the sector wherever we can, and there has never been a time more important than now to help and guide each other and to share wins.

Firstly, we need to keep reminding ourselves that this too will pass and although the economy has gone into hibernation, it will wake up again, and when it does, we are encouraging our members to be ready for the economic surge, Brexit (remember that), REACH UK and the next round of health and safety and climate change legislation changes.

We are all working from home and If you need any advice on HR, employment law, remote working, available grants or how to claim furlough pay, then please get in contact. We are here to help and support you in whatever way we can. We communicate regularly with our members and send out advice from our partners such as Citation’s coronavirus business toolkit.

Now is the perfect time for thinking deeply and preparing for a new start in the coming weeks. We have asked our marketing for manufacturing agency (Stratique) to help our members with marketing advice and they will be sending tips and tricks to our members to develop strategies during isolation in readiness for growth. You can check out their latest blog on best practices for marketing planning during self-isolation time.

Something to look forward to: Surface Engineering Pavilion at Advanced Engineering 2020

There is a lot going on at the moment so click here for a reminder of the 10 biggest benefits of membership of the Surface Engineering Association and we encourage you to use this time to plan and to engage with us, use our services and to build a sense of community at a time when coming together is more important than ever.
