Heatric, a division of Meggitt Plc, specialises in precision etching of stainless steel and high nickel alloys for use in the manufacture of printed-circuit heat exchangers. Heatric utilises photochemical etching to produce specialised flow plates for use in a range of heat transfer applications. The company's expertise in this process allows for the production of intricate fluid paths, with each heat exchanger featuring unique circuit designs to optimise the performance of the unit. The Heatric Birmingham facility is one of the largest dedicated chemical etching facilities in the world by volume of material removed. The facility incorporates a range of advanced equipment which allows Heatric to continuously refine its operations and push the boundaries of its capabilities in diffusion bonding and chemical etching. The company currently produces etched plates in sizes up to 1500*600*3mm with etch depths of up to 2.5mm (and potentially deeper).
